Our veneers are made of high quality ceramic and are highly durable. They are also virtually undetectable, and no one will be able to tell that you have them!

Types Of Porcelain Veneers

At Eddleman Dental, we recognize that no patient is the same. We offer several types of porcelain veneers to meet your specific cosmetic goals. These options include:

Traditional: Made from ceramic, this tried-and-true option is made from strong, clear ceramic.
Lumineers: Lumineers Dental Veneers are made from Cerinate porcelain. They are clinically proven to last for over two decades when bonded with Ultra-Bond® and Tenure®.
Durathin: Unlike other veneers, Durathin Prepless Veneers do not require the removal of natural tooth structure prior to placement. With this product, the procedure can also usually be completed without the use of any anesthetic or numbing agent. We are proud that Dr. Eddleman is currently one of the few dentists in the nation trained to offer this innovative treatment.

Who Can Benefit From Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers can treat a broad range of cosmetic dental concerns, including:

Is Everyone a Candidate For Porcelain Veneers?

Unfortunately, this option may not be suitable for everyone. Dr. Eddleman will consider your overall oral health, dental history and your long term cosmetic goals. Veneers are a permanent dental solution and cannot be easily removed from your teeth once placed.

Some patients who are a candidate for other veneers may not be an ideal candidate for prepless veneers. The best candidates for Durathin veneers include patients who already have a worn tooth surface, who have small teeth and who have had teeth extracted for orthodontic reasons.

Placing Your Porcelain Veneers At Eddleman Dental

The process of placing veneers typically involves several steps and may require a few visits to the dentist. Here is what you can expect:

Preparation of teeth

To prepare your teeth, Dr. Eddleman will remove a very small amount of enamel from the front surface of the affected teeth.

Impressions

Dr. Eddleman will then take impressions or digital scans of your teeth to create custom veneers that are tailored for your smile.

Making your veneers

The impressions or scans are sent to a dental laboratory, where skilled technicians create your custom veneers, which takes a few weeks.

Bonding

Once your veneers are ready, you will return to our office for bonding. Dr. Eddleman will check the fit and color of each veneer. He will then clean your teeth and bond them to the teeth using a strong dental adhesive. To ensure the veneers fit comfortably, look natural and that you are happy with them, he will make adjustments as needed.

How Do I Care For My Porcelain Veneers?

Depending on the type of veneers you receive, your veneers should last for around a decade or more with the right care. Though they are resistant to staining, they can still experience wear and tear like your other teeth. They should be treated with the same amount of care as your other teeth. Avoid using toothbrushes with hard bristles and practice good oral hygiene in order to preserve the results.
